BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in BC, Paul Gill is an editor and post production specialist with extensive experience in the industry. From his beginnings of working as a certified audio engineer and musician, Paul moved on to the art of video editing and flourishes as an editor and media artist.
Paul has edited a variety of genres including music videos, documentaries, promos, infomercials, newsmagazine, corporate, news and animated feature films. His work has earned plaudits and awards, including a Leo award for his editing skills on the CBC’s ZeD Tunes. Paul prides himself on efficiency, speed, thoroughness, passion and quality.
In 2001, Paul started harpoon creative, which handled the production and post-production work on the successful arts and entertainment program Viva!. As well as being an editor, Paul's diversity is evident in his extensive knowledge of video, audio, print, compositing, writing, music and media in general. A keen eye for detail and an intelligent artistic aptitude set him apart from many others in his field. Paul has had writing published in newspapers, played as a session musician, supervised voiceover sessions, and written scripts.
Paul has worked on countless projects for clients as diverse as the CBC, Channel M, CTV and Mainframe Entertainment and has had diverse credits as a compositor, online and offline editor, script editor, producer, cameraman, and audio engineer.
Paul freelances actively and he is constantly driven to excel in his craft.
