Born and raised in BC, Paul Gill is an editor and post production specialist with extensive experience in the industry.  From his beginnings of working as a certified audio engineer and musician, Paul moved on to the art of video editing and flourishes as an editor, motion graphics artist and compositor.

Paul has edited a variety of genres including music videos, documentaries, infomercials, newsmagazine, corporate, news and animated feature films.  His work has earned plaudits and awards, including a Leo award for his editing skills on the CBC’s Zed Tunes.

In 2001, Paul started his own company, harpoon creative, which handled the production and post-production work on the successful arts and entertainment program Viva!.  Paul is also proficient in writing and producing for television in a newsmagazine and documentary format, and prides himself on efficiency, speed, thoroughness and quality.

More than an editor, Paul's diversity is evident in his extensive knowledge of video, audio, print, compositing, writing, music and media in general.  A keen eye for detail and an intelligent artistic aptitude set him apart from many others in his field.  Paul has had work published in newspapers, played as a session musician and written screenplays.

Paul has worked on countless projects for clients as diverse as the CBC, Tencrows Media Group, Channel M and Mainframe Entertainment as a compositor, colourist, online and offline editor, script editor, producer, cameraman, and audio engineer.  He also freelances under harpoon creative where he continues to excel in his field.
